Books for Schoolchildren and Support for Special Families: Alliance Altyn Held a Heartfelt Memorial Event in Honor of Ch. Aitmatov in Talas
The Chingiz Aitmatov International Foundation, the Talas Region administration, and the company “Alliance Altyn” have launched a humanitarian project in the region that combines support for education, culture, and families with special needs.
The event kicked off at the “Kyrk Choro” cinema in Talas, where schoolchildren were presented with Chingiz Aitmatov’s novella “Ak Keme” (“The White Steamboat”), published in a special edition of 1,000 copies in Kyrgyz and Russian. The event was accompanied by an exhibition of children’s drawings and theatrical skits based on the writer’s works.
Eldar Aitmatov, President of the Chingiz Aitmatov International Foundation, noted that the project aims to bring classical literature back to Kyrgyz schools and promote the great writer’s work among young people.
Ermat Zhumayev, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic’s Plenipotentiary Representative in the Talas Region, emphasized that such initiatives help instill the right values in the younger generation and contribute to the development of the cultural environment in the region.
The second stage of the campaign was a trip to the village of Kyzyl-Adyr in the Aitmatov District, where the “Ayarzhan” rehabilitation center for children with cerebral palsy is located. The center received functional medical beds, massage tables, exercise equipment for motor skill development, and office equipment.
As part of the project, modern sewing machines were also presented to mothers raising children with disabilities. This support will enable many families to earn additional income and start their own small businesses.
As representatives of Alliance Altyn noted, targeted social assistance and support for education, culture, and families remain an important part of the company’s social responsibility and a contribution to the development of Kyrgyzstan’s regions.
